On October 26, ZHU Gongshan, Chairman of GCL Group (the “GCL”), was invited to attend the First China-Japan Third-Party Market Cooperation Forum at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, where he listened to the important speeches made by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on upgrading the level of pragmatic cooperation between China and Japan, and exchanged ideas with Japanese business representatives on strengthening cooperation in the fields of international and domestic clean energy and new energy.
In accordance with the memorandum on third-party market cooperation signed between the Chinese and Japanese governments during Chinese Premier Li Keqiang’s visit to Japan in May 2018, the forum was jointly hosted by China’s National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Commerce and Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. As an important platform for official and nongovernmental communications between China and Japan, the forum mainly aims to explore ideas and models of cooperation in specific fields, promote business exchanges and the implementation of demonstration projects. Attended by over 1,600 government officials, key industrial organizations and representative enterprises from China and Japan, the forum is one of the important arrangements for Shinzo Abe’s visit to China. Before the forum, GCL had reached a principled consensus on and signed an MOU with Japan's Mitsui & Co., Ltd (China) on the implementation of specific projects.
According to the arrangements of the forum, after the activities on the morning of the day, the Chinese and Japanese leaders met with entrepreneurs of the two countries including ZHU Gongshan and took a group photo with them.
Also present at the forum were ZHU Yufeng, Vice Chairman of GCL Group, LUO Xin, President of GCL-SI, WANG Jianwen, President of GCL Domestic Natural Gas, and Zhang Jianjun, Chairman of Xiake Color Spinning.
